Urgup is a town of Nevsehir in the Central Anatolia which is located in the historical region of Cappadocia. It is one of the first settlement areas of Cappadocia. Urgup is famous for its hotels built within caves, for its wines and hand made carpets.
Kaymakli Underground City is in Nevsehir, on the road to Nigde. The houses are built around almost one hundred tunnels of the underground city. The tunnels in Kaymakli are lower, narrower and more steeply than the underground city of Derinkuyu.
Derinkuyu Underground City is in Nevsehir on the road to Nigde. Today, only 10% of the uderground city is open to tourists. Derinkuyu is the largest excavated underground city in Turkey.
Goreme is in Nevsehir, in the heart of Cappadocia area which is famous for the fairy chimneys. There are may churches which are today open air museums.
Avanos is in Nevsehir, on the coast of Kizilirmak River. It is famous for clay jugs, biscuits and jars.
Zelve is on the road to Avanos from Goreme. There are three valleys which have the most intensive fair chimneys.
Ihlara Valley is on the road between Aksaray and Nevsehir. It is 14km long and 100-150m high.
Ortahisar is on the road to Nevsehir from Urgup. It is famous for its castle. There are also churches and abbeys. Uchisar is on the road between Nevsehir and Goreme. It is famous for its castle.
