The name Cappadocia drives from a Persian word Katpatuka which means the land of beautiful horses. Today it is the term used in tourism to describe the city Nevsehir in Turkey.
It is one of the most popular tourist destination in Turkey. It is unique and worth seeing which was formed by sedimentary rocks that were erupted from ancient volcanoes many million years ago. They are called fairy chimneys which consists of a cap of hard rock resting on a cone-shaped softer rock. Some are very soft rocks that some people at Cappadocia carved out to form houses, churches and monastries.
